Not So Fast, Bub

Lucy loves her soother. In fact, we often say she reminds us of:



We usually let Lucy sport her soother as an accessory, via one of those little soother clips that attaches to her clothes. That way, she can just pop it in when she wants to (which is often!), and everyone is happy. We get a chuckle out of it; Joely was never much for soothers.

This past weekend, we were at Tan's parents house. Their dog Kasey also loves Lucy's soother. If it is left on a table, etc. he will hunt it down and chew it. We've gone through several soothers this way. I finally remembered this, and in an attempt to outsmart the dog, I clipped Lucy's soother to my shorts pocket while she was eating supper where it dangled out of the pooch's reach.

After Lucy was finished eating, I was getting her wiped up - as I did so, I stood beside her. I think I took my eyes off of her for a few seconds as I talked to someone in the kitchen. When I turned slightly to do so, I felt a small tug on my shorts. I looked down, and this is what I saw:

Like I said...Lucy really likes her soother.
