Hot Enough Fer Ya??

Today was a pretty smokin' warm day. I was mentally whining about the air conditioning not working so well in this joint until I stepped outside. It's truly unlike anything I ever felt in Canada. Don't get me wrong - hot Ontario summers I think are more uncomfortable because the hot spells tend to last longer and the humidity is a killer. However, stepping outside into a hot Perth day is like stepping into a blast furnace. I've just never felt hot air like that before (I tend to be full of it, rather than feel it!).

Case in point - this photo didn't show the mercury so well, but I assure you it was a few ticks above 40 degrees C:
