Mama Day
We decided to go out for breakfast for Mother's Day this year rather than fight the crowds at dinner. Lucy even indulged us by allowing pig-tails to be put in her hair:


We went to a little cafe near the apartment where we stayed in our first month here. Joely was very keen to find the menu included something called a "babyccino", which was essentially a hot chocolate done up to look like a cappuccino (which the locals drink a lot of!):

After that we decided to head off to the zoo. Here's mama with her girls:


We took a leisurely stroll around the zoo, and at one of our stops (the giraffes I think), I reached over the waist-high fence to snap this shot of Lucy doing her best to get into the pen:

All that animal watching was tiring, so it was time for an ice cream break:



It was a great day!
