Andy-ra
We had a fellow Canuck drop by for a few days this week - Andrea, the daughter of friends of Tan's parents - how's that for six degrees of separation?!
Andrea has been teaching/working/traveling around Oz for the past 10 months or so, having arrived right around the time we did - on the opposite coast. Fortunately, it worked out that she was able to drop into Perth for a visit en route to the UK and eventually home.
We had a great time getting to know her and just hanging out. She patiently weathered the odd night of Lucy waking up at 4 am, my dorky observations on how Honda minivans look different here, and our girls' idolization of her. Seriously, if Andrea had a nickel for every time her name was called by one of the girls in her 4 days here, she would have left WA a millionaire.
She left on Tuesday, and this morning, Lucy said "Andy-ra. Miss." I asked her if she missed Andrea, and she nodded her head yes.
Thanks for the visit Andrea!
