Joely's Buddy Birthday

This year Joely wanted to have a birthday party closer to the end of school so more of her friends would be around and able to come. Another big incentive was getting a Happy Birthday pen from her school.

The theme of the party was Buddy. All she wanted was a cake with a picture of her and Buddy on it, so Tan took that and ran with it - the cake was chocolate (i.e. brown like Buddy), with icing bones and paw prints. Joely also had the idea of brown plates, cups, and napkins - again, to match the colour of Mr. Buddy:


At times, the weather loomed a bit ominously in the background, but the sun peeked out enough that the venue (Dundas Driving Park) could be enjoyed - kids played in the splash pad, on the equipment, etc. Of course there were snacks:

Then it was time to present...the Buddy Cake!

And after that, it was time for presents...
