Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head

So, it rains in the winter here. A LOT. I can't imagine what the historically "normal" winters here must be like, because this winter is apparently continuing the recent trend of being drier than the historical average, and I would say it's rained A LOT. I think it's rained every day for about 2.5 weeks. And I'm not talking gentle April Canadian showers. I'm talking drench-you-in-seconds downpours, for hours on end.

Among all this rain, Lucy has discovered a serious love of puddles. When it really comes down hard, the end of our driveway pools up, because the drainage system can't keep up. A few days we've even had an inch or so over the entire garage floor. This is the perfect situation in Lucy's opinion - if she happens to slip out the door in bare feet, even better (it's freezing - we've checked). She would stay out there for hours, and usually pitches a fit when we finally haul her in where it's warm and dry...
