Kookaburra

Oh yeah - forgot to mention in my last post. Last night I was out for a run along the river and I spotted my first kookaburra.

He wasn't sitting in an old gum tree. He was perched on a trail sign.

He seemed pretty merry, and I guess you could say he was king of the bush.

He didn't laugh, or tell me how gay his life must be....
