Our Little Aussie
In keeping with the theme of my last post about language development, I've noticed many Australianisms creeping into Joely's vocabulary. The other day she told Tan and I that she would run and "see how Lucy's going" (the universal greeting here is "how ya going?").
She also will talk about needing to wear a jumper in the cooler weather (a sweatshirt) and eating a biscuit (a cookie). Any litter that is spotted on the ground is referred to as rubbish. And she'll often describe Lucy as clever (a word that is commonly used here for some reason).
She's well on her way to becoming bilingual!
