The Byes Hit The Beach

We've been here for a few weeks now, and today we finally got out to one of Perth's beaches. Here are a few shots from Cottesloe beach, which is pretty much due West of the city centre. It's a great beach for the kids; there's quite a break (as you will see below), but there's a long shore, so the wave is quite dissipated by the time it gets to where the little kids are mucking about.

The main thing we noticed about the beach is the colour - a brilliant blue. Also, when I was wading in, I was struck by the clarity of the water.

It took our minds off the house hunt for a few hours, which was nice.
